Attention To All Rat Packers and RP Candidates:

This is the eve of our second Golden Rat Award for best screen shot of the week, and I have to brief you on what's been happening with us all!

And this week has been a doozy! Starting with our candidates Ms RoseNell, Uvah and Mrs Starkers, whose task was to become involved with the Pack in either screen designs or leaving humorous or constructive comments on a pack member's screen shot!

You three were just magnificent this past week! True to the pack all of you! This week was like you’ve always been here!

And to be honest, we want to see more, more shots, more funnies, more of you! The three of you were awesome!

We had surprises this past week with Professional designers Quentin94, Windoe and Skinhit actually doing screen shots as tributes to the Pack, talk about your collector items. Now, I know for a fact that if a Professional Skinner / Designer want to do what we do, then what we’re doing must be alright!

Pros like vStyler, Fairyy~ and Bilbo are running with us simply because they love what we do and the fun we have doing it!

We even had visits from missing members Longdude0 (Dwaine), PJDark (Patrick), and MaRose (Marie) and terigw this week, so it was just a great week to be a Packer!

Now, as for the competition for the coveted Golden Rat Award! This was hotter than July! JM, up to his usual masterful ways was cooking with some beauties, and then topped the week off with his totally SICK "Athena's Candy" design by vStyler. Uvah, Ms RoseNell and Mrs Starkers also submitted some really refreshing, beautiful, cool, one of a kind and humorous designs.

But the Heavyweight match-up in the Pack this week was between shooters Cindy (Shenaynay) and John (Philly0381), it was a battle of titanic proportions! These two threw all they had into their designs all week, and it showed. I was waiting for the kitchen sink to come flying through my computer at one point.

They duked it out like Ali and Frazier! And when one got comfortable, the other would bust out with a newer shot, I mean the smoke still hasn’t cleared yet!

These two were newbies submitting their very first screen designs April 12 for John and Cindy five days later on the 17th. So these two brilliant shooters haven’t been doing this for two months yet! But you can’t tell by their shots can you?

Do me a favor and Visit Shenaynay and Philly’s WC galleries to show some love to these two beautiful and talented people and download all of their designs, because this helps them get to that 1000 download plateau.

As for the winner for this week’s Golden Rat Award, all you can do is just;

Many thanks to CP and Az for coming up with the idea to pull together folks that liked to tweak thier desktops and establish the Rat Pack.   

Creating the GRA and getting it into it's second week is a task, atleast to my knowleged, that no one asked them to do. They took it upon themselves to take steps to help foster this small part of the site into it's own little community.   

CP was there with the first shot I made with kind words of encouragement. Believe me it was a total surprise because folks, I messed up. All I was looking to do was download shots of my desktop to my personal page that I had just set up. Well, you know how we get with happy fingers on the keyborad. I had submitted my shot to the gallery before I could stop my fingers. Now look where I am!!!!!          

Thanks CP, Az, Shenaynay and JM and the rest of the Rat Pack for keeping it fun!             

I for one am very excited to see who will be the Big Cheese this week, Opppp!!!!
Golden Rat...... Philly and Shenaynay really were hot and did some amazing screenshots. Fast.....

This has been a week to remember!!   I also want to thank AzDude and Cplair for coming up with the forums and the Golden Rat Award!   And Skinhit, he had a forum just before this, didn't he? But Az and Cp kept egging us on!   I thought we were going to have to throw ice water on Cp at one point!   He would get so worked up with his "Muahaha's" and his Kung Fu Pao's! Just glad he didn't pop a vein!  

And the other shooters!   Wow! What great screenies were flying around here!   Amazing shots!    

I want to say a special thanks to Cplair for taking me under his wing and showing me how to do docks and work with icons. Thank you Curtis! You're the best!  

I'm so glad I decided to make my first screenie! I've had sooo much fun ever since!   And met some amazing people!  

I just wanna say you guys rock, and also huge thank you for coming up with a great theme for an award it is a cool idea.
